Faiz and Iqbal are from same place and known as greatest poets of their time..but if we try to have an over all image of them from public..Faiz is known as a biggest revolutionist from his poetic point of view and iqbal's poetry is used too much by religious people that he seems only a religious poet..
Actually faiz chose one dimension and kept himself in that but Iqbal was much more than that..he has written on many topics and in different direction , and different kinda people has taken his poetry as they want..he was a multi dimensional personality.
In my personal opinion Iqbal's revolutionary thought was stronger than Faiz..a few examples of such poetry are his poems

Az Khawab -e- Garan Khez
Lenin(Khuda ke hazoor main)
and this Poem..
Here he clearly says
If harvesting a field has no advantage to farmer..its better to burn each seed from that field..which shows he dont like compromises but he just want to do it...
Although we shdnt compare both but in one blog i saw this discussion so i am writing this..i l write more on this topic with Examples..but i like Iqbal Faiz and Ghalib on their places and never try to compare them..which shd be the way :)

Allama Sir Muhammad Iqbal (Urdu: محمد اقبال; November 9, 1877-April 21, 1938) was a Muslim poet, philosopher and politician born in Sialkot, British India (now in Pakistan), whose poetry in Urdu, Arabic and Persian is considered to be among the greatest of the modern era,and whose vision of an independent state for the Muslims of British India was to inspire the creation of Pakistan. He is commonly referred to as Allama Iqbal (علامہ اقبال‎, Allama meaning "Scholar".)
Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal was born in Sialkot, Punjab, British India (now part of Pakistan); the eldest of five siblings in a Kashmiri family. After studying in England and Germany, Iqbal established a law practice, but concentrated primarily on writing scholarly works on politics, economics, history, philosophy and religion.
One of the most prominent leaders of the All India Muslim League, Iqbal encouraged the creation of a "state in northwestern British India for Muslims" in his 1930 presidential address. Iqbal encouraged and worked closely with Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and he is known as Muffakir-e-Pakistan ("The Thinker of Pakistan"), Shair-e-Mashriq ("The Poet of the East"), and Hakeem-ul-Ummat ("The Sage of Ummah"). He is officially recognised as the "national poet" in Pakistan. The anniversary of his birth (یوم ولادت محمد اقبال‎ - Yōm-e Welādat-e Muḥammad Iqbāl) on November 9 is a holiday in Pakistan. Allama Iqbal died in Lahore on April 21, 1938.

Allama Iqbal once said:

"A separate federation of Muslim Provinces, reformed on the lines I have suggested above, is the only course by which we can secure a peaceful India and save Muslims from the domination of Non-Muslims. Why should not the Muslims of North-West India and Bengal be considered as nations entitled to self-determination just as other nations in India and outside India are."

"There is only one way out. Muslims should strengthen Jinnah's hands. They should join the Muslim League. Indian question, as is now being solved, can be countered by our united front against both the Hindus and the English. Without it, our demands are not going to be accepted. People say our demands smack of communalism. This is sheer propaganda. These demands relate to the defence of our national existence.... The united front can be formed under the leadership of the Muslim League. And the Muslim League can succeed only on account of Jinnah. Now none but Jinnah is capable of leading the Muslims." These melodious songs are not confined To Time when rose and tulip bloom
Whatever the season of year be "No god but He" must ring till doom.

Agarche but hain jama'at ki aasteenoN mein

Translation
O Lord! To the Muslims heart grant that live Longing
Which may warm the heart, which may restlessness to the soul grant

Again brighten up every speck of dust of the Valley of Faran
Again Longing for the Spectacle, taste for the asking grant

Again to the one deprived of the Spectacle the discerning eye grant
Whatever I have seen, to others also its sight grant

Again guide the strayed away deer towards the Haram
To the one addicted to city, vastness of wilderness grant

Again in the forlorn heart create the Last Days tumult
Again to this empty camel-litter the lover of Lailah grant

In the darkness of this age to every perturbed heart
That mark of Love which may embarrass the moon grant

In elegance raise the Muslims goals to the level of Thurayyah
Self-respect of the ocean, freedom of the sea shore grant

Love should be pure, candor fearless should be
Grant Light to hearts, hearts like crystal grant

Grant the feeling for signs of the calamity
In todays tumult concern for tomorrow grant

I am the wailing nightingale of a ruined rose garden
I am the supplicant for acceptance, O Benevolent one alms to the beggar grant [endtext]
